About

Jam Zhu.

I am building Apex and writing publicly about the operating problems behind trusted global production, cross-border commerce, and AI-native systems.

This site is my public notebook for building Apex. I write about supplier trust, second-source optionality, quote comparability, execution data, company-building discipline, and the path from service work to systems.

What I am building

Apex starts with transaction-led global supply-chain execution and works toward trusted global production infrastructure. The wedge is practical: help product companies make better decisions around suppliers, RFQs, samples, production risk, renewal windows, and market-entry questions.

What I write about

  • How product companies access trusted global production.
  • Why supplier lists are not enough.
  • How second-source strategy creates operating leverage.
  • Why AI needs real workflow data before it becomes useful.
  • How to build a company without getting consumed by random opportunities.

How Apex connects to the writing

The writing is not meant to be a hard sales funnel. It is a way to make the operating thesis visible. If the ideas resonate and you have a serious sourcing, supplier, production, RFQ, or market-entry problem, the Work With Apex page is the right place to send a concise note.
